The first weekend in October is the annual California QSO Party. Hams from all over the country and international stations reach out to California stations to make as many contacts as they can. California stations also compete to make contacts. The bands were very active and it was fun to hear all the requests for contacts. The Club completed 50 QSO’s, which included 17 states and 2 Canadian Provinces over 4 different Bands. Dan, KN6DRN earned his “Arizona Agave” POTA award – 100 QSO’s. We will now have our meetings at our Headquarters, the South Tower. Meetings are every Monday night at 6:30 PM. If you are looking for a way to engage in the community and have an interest in Amateur Radio, please check out the LHARG. Our club conducts a weekly radio network at 7:00 PM every Monday on the W6LHR Repeater at 147.030 MHz, 167.9 PL.
