We welcomed new member Craig to our Group. Craig successfully passed his Technicians exam and is looking forward to checking in to our weekly Net. Our Hams & Coffee get together held at KS Café was fun, covering a variety of topics (including Ham radio). We will be getting together again in the future, so consider joining us to rag chew, more to come. Several members helped out at the Annual Hamfest sponsored by the Western Placer Amateur Radio Group. Technical advice is shared by our members both at the meetings as well as privately between members. We help on programming hand held radios. Regarding the Ham Bands, we have noticed an increase in contacts on both the 17 and 20m Band with contacts made in Angola, Sweden, Puerto Rico as well as the continental US and Canada. Meetings are held at the South Tower every Monday night at 6:30 PM. Our club conducts a weekly radio network at 7:00 PM every Monday on the W6LHR Repeater at 147.030 MHz, 167.9 PL.
