LHARG Monthly News – November, 2022

We are excited to recognize a newly licensed Ham Operator and member, Claude, KN6WGH. All new members get a “Welcome Package” which contains information on local Repeaters, LHARG Brochure outlining our Mission and activities and articles of interest such as “How Propagation Works.” Our Hams & Coffee get together held at KS Café was fun, covering a variety of topics (including Ham radio). We will be getting together again in the future, so consider joining us to rag chew, more to come. We help with programming handheld radios. Regarding the Ham Bands, we have noticed an increase in contacts on both the 10 and 17m Band. One of our members had a confirmed Digital contact with a station on 17m in Antarctica! Meetings are held at the South Tower every Monday night at 6:30 PM. Our club conducts a weekly radio network at 7:00 PM every Monday on the W6LHR Repeater at 147.030 MHz, 167.9 PL. If you are looking for a way to engage in the community and have an interest in Amateur Radio, please check out the LHARG.
