LHARG Monthly News – June, 2026

Our members are participating in the Lewis & Clark Trail on air event. In this on-the-air event, Ham operators attempt to contact specific operators in the 16 States that the original trail crossed. Any mode can be used such as voice, digital or CW. A handsome certificate is awarded at the conclusion of the event. One of our members has already contacted 11 States!

We have been treated to fascinating uTube videos at our meetings. “The Rise and Fall of Collins Radio” and “A Shortwave History” were two such informative viewings. Check-ins to our weekly Net have been fun and well attended. We thank all of our Member Net Control Operators for their professional running of our Nets.

Field Day 2026 results will be discussed in the next publication.

Meetings are held at the South Tower every Monday night at 6:30 PM. Our club conducts a weekly radio network at 7:00 PM every Monday on the W6LHR Repeater at 147.030 MHz, 167.9 PL. If you are looking for a way to engage in the community and have an interest in amateur radio, please check out the LHARG. We can help with programming handheld radios.
